Marcello Garau

“I was born in a small town, Oristano in Sardinia, Italy.

Since I was a kid I had passion for knives but it remained hidden somewhere until, after my degree in Agricultural Sciences,

I discovered the word of knivesmaking. I began with the traditional sardinian knives but soon I moved on to modern knives. I learned how to make liner locks and back locks and how to forge my own damascus. I joined the Italian guild (CIC) around 2005 and some years later I began attending the ECCKS in New York and then the FICX show in Paris. I currently enjoy making folders with original locks and California openings with art inspired patterns.”
